Support the advancement of the security profession with your gift.
The role of the security practitioner has evolved in scope and stature as organizations move toward global operations and an enterprise- wide approach to risk mitigation and management. The protection of people, property, and information is central to the fulfillment of an organization’s mission and the achievement of its business objectives.
Now, more than ever, security practitioners must continue to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and abilities. Chapter Contributions
ASIS chapter gifts are traditionally made once a year in advance of the ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits. All chapters who make a donation are acknowledged on the website and honored during the Seminar.
Corporate Contributions

In addition to direct donation opportunities, the Foundation offers a range of sponsorship packages that can be tailored specifically for a corporation’s needs.

Memoriam
Donations may be made to the Foundation as a memorial in honor of an individual who is no longer with us, but whose life made an impact on our profession.
Recognition
Often times, a group of individuals or an organization wishes to honor a living security professional or mark a special occasion. A contribution to the ASIS Foundation is a unique way to provide well-earned recognition and to give back to the profession.
Foundation’s Annual Fundraisers
The Foundation’s primary fundraisers take place at the annual ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits. Tasers in Your Facility - Balance Liability against Threats (ASIS Webinar) Understanding the challenges and having the knowledge to make the decision to arm security officers is becoming more critical with the escalated violence in healthcare settings. Increasingly, security professionals are being asked to evaluate the level of security provided within their facilities and to consider the use of Tasers. This webinar explores critical considerations in the decision to do so: research, cost, education, standard operating procedures, and post-use procedures. Review key findings in the case study Introduction of the Conducted Electrical Weapon into a Hospital Setting and look at the impact to patient care by the use of Tasers. Awareness of the increasing risk of violence and possessing the knowledge to make the necessary security decisions could be of substantial benefit for any institution.
The webinar is being hosted by the chapter and State Street Globa Security.
See the event page for details and to sign up, the webinar is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on December 12, 2012.
