Topic: Transitioning from the Military to Corporate Security
CSM Hommertzheim (RET) will discuss how experiences gained during his military career, which included positions as the force protection NCO and physical security NCOIC, and also his law enforcement career, concluding as the Deputy Director of the Kansas Intelligence Fusion Center, helps him in his corporate security position, auditing Protective Force and Physical Security at the KCNSC as a Senior Security Specialist.

Kerry Hommertzheim, Command Sergeant Major (Ret)
Bio:
Command Sergeant Major Kerry Hommertzheim (Ret.), first enlisted in the United States Army in 1992, attending One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he graduated from the US Army Infantry School. After being released from Active Duty, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in Hutchinson, Kansas, where he reclassed to Military Police. CSM Hommertzheim has served a multitude of positions in the Army Reseve and Army National Guard, culminating as the Brigade CSM of the 300th Sustainment Brigade.
He also retired law enforcement officer, serving over 22 years between the Great Bend Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, culminating his career as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Criminal Intelligence Unit and the Deputy Director of the Kansas Intelligence Fusion Center, Topeka, KS.
His Army awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (5th award), the Army Achievement Medal (4th award).
His Law Enforcement awards include two Medal of Valor’s and two Gold Awards for Valor from the Kansas Association, Chief’s of Police.
